Janet came to photography late in life and began with classes and workshops at the International Center for Photography in New York City. She has studied with these extraordianary photographers: Joel Meyerowitz, Jerry Vezzuso, Arlene Collins, Sonja Bullaty and Angelo Lomeo.
Janet is currently retired and engaging in two passions, travel and photography. Combining the two, she has traveled all over the world photographing subjects from the glorious to the mundane. Travel tales and photos are shared through her blog and website. She has offered photography classes through Continuing Education at City College.
Prior to retirement, Janet spent twenty years in financial services in New York City and San Francisco. In that period she served on the boards of several music organizations and, while in New York, directed a program of chamber music in private homes. She continues her interest in music playing weekly in a string quartet.
